Delivery
Cool to Rent currently delivers throughout our Orange County service area. Your delivery fee and available delivery options will be shown at checkout.

Someone 18 or older must be available to receive the rental. Your unit will arrive clean, ready to use, and with the accessories needed for standard setup, including the exhaust hose and window venting kit.

Self-Setup
Portable ACs are designed for simple self-setup. In-home installation is not included with delivery, but easy setup instructions will be provided with your rental. Please make sure you have a compatible window and appropriate standard household outlet before delivery.

Pickup
We’ll return to pick up your unit on your scheduled pickup date. Please have the unit unplugged, accessible, and ready for pickup, with all included accessories together.

Need to keep it a little longer? Contact us before your scheduled pickup and, subject to availability, we’ll be happy to extend your rental.

Outside Orange County?
We may be able to deliver outside our standard service area depending on your location and availability. Contact us before booking to see if we can accommodate your rental.

Our portable ACs are designed for easy self-setup. Here’s what you’ll need before your rental arrives.

A Compatible Window
Portable ACs need to vent warm air outside through a window. Your rental includes an exhaust hose and standard window venting kit designed to fit most traditional sliding windows.

A Standard Household Outlet
Your AC requires a standard 120V household outlet. The unit should be plugged directly into the wall and should not be used with an extension cord or power strip. Avoid using other high-power appliances on the same circuit while the AC is running.

A Little Space Around the Unit
Place the AC on a flat, level surface near the window and outlet, with enough open space around the unit for proper airflow. Keep the unit indoors and away from water, curtains, furniture, or anything that could block the air intake or exhaust.

Easy Self-Setup
Your rental includes the accessories needed for standard setup, including the exhaust hose and window venting kit. Simple setup instructions will be provided with your rental.

In-home installation is not included with delivery.

Before You Book
Make sure your space has a compatible window, an appropriate household outlet, and enough room to safely position the unit. If you’re unsure whether your space will work, reach out before booking and we can help.

We keep renting simple. Here’s what to know before booking.

Rental Period
Your rental begins on your scheduled delivery date and ends on your scheduled pickup date. Need more time? Contact us before your rental ends and, subject to availability, we’ll be happy to extend it. Additional rental charges will apply.

Delivery & Pickup
Your unit will be delivered and picked up at the address provided with your order. Someone 18 or older must be available to receive the rental and provide access for pickup. Delivery and pickup fees are shown at checkout.

Easy Self-Setup
Your portable AC comes with the accessories needed for standard setup, including an exhaust hose and window venting kit. Setup instructions are included with your rental. In-home installation is not included with delivery.

Before renting, please make sure you have a compatible window for venting and an appropriate standard household outlet. Portable AC units should be plugged directly into the appropriate wall outlet and should not be used with extension cords or overloaded circuits.

Choosing the Right Size
Our room-size recommendations are designed to help you choose the best unit for your space. Actual cooling performance may vary based on room layout, ceiling height, insulation, direct sunlight, outdoor temperature, and other conditions. Portable ACs are designed for room-by-room cooling rather than whole-home cooling.

Cancellations & Extensions
Cancel at least 24 hours before your scheduled delivery for a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours of delivery may be subject to a cancellation fee.

Need to keep your unit longer? Contact us before your scheduled pickup. Extensions are subject to availability and additional rental charges. Units kept beyond the agreed rental period without an approved extension may incur additional daily charges.

During Your Rental
Please keep the unit indoors, upright, and protected from water and weather. Use the equipment only as intended and follow the provided operating instructions. Rentals may not be moved to another property or transferred to another person without approval.

If something isn’t working properly, stop using the unit and contact us. We’ll help troubleshoot the issue and, when appropriate and available, arrange a replacement. Please do not attempt to repair or modify the equipment yourself.

Damage, Loss & Returns
Normal wear and tear is expected, and no security deposit is required at booking. Customers are responsible for loss, theft, or damage caused by misuse, negligence, improper handling, unauthorized modification, or failure to follow the provided instructions.

At pickup, please return the unit with all included accessories, including the remote, exhaust hose, adapters, and window kit. Charges may apply for damaged, missing, lost, or unreturned equipment.

A rental agreement containing the complete terms and responsibilities for your rental will be provided with your order.
